Happy Birthday to you!!

Today is the Birthday de mi madre...Ruthie! We had a brithday lunch of salmon cooked on a plank, salad, asperagus, and cucumbers mixed with onions and vinegar, and I made a chocolate almond torte. She got a new bike...I describe it was retro!! But it's cute! I felt bad becuase we also had seminary Graduation, and Bacalloreate, which I played piano at both! I graduated from Seminary though!! Yay! But we did get a message on the phone from somebody from Oklahoma that Dylan knows wishing my mom a happy birthday! We were all sad we missed the call...the man sounded hot! haha Oh yes...and my mama's 16 ;) because Loveta is always 29, and my Mom's 13 years younger than Loveta...which makes her 16!

Tie Dye Fun

The other day, we tie dyed. And since my Dad, and Mason in particular are obsessed with wearing tie dye all the time...I thought I'd document it on here! One of our missionaries got transferred. He thought it was cool that Craig and Mi Padre always wear tie dye, and go on "mancations", and he wanted to tie dye before he got transferred. So, Morrison's came over and we tie dyed! It was fun...but it makes your boogers purple! Oh, and the boxers are Dylan's...in case you were wondering!

Fact

Fact: I LOVE Jason Mraz!
Reason: He once stated: "I can’t take credit for a song that wrote itself. I’m only one of millions who sing along to its message of peace & love. AND I THINK HUMANS WERE PUT ON THIS EARTH TO MAKE MUSIC. Each one of us IS a living instrument with a responsibility to sing out, to share, to cry and wail, for progress and for healing. I am grateful I get to sing with so many."

Fact: I totally agree with this quote! And, to my family's dismay, I'd say I'm doing a pretty good job of following this man's advice! Although I don't completely agree with all of his beliefs...the guy's so amazing! He has amazing songs, an amazing voice, he's an amazing musician, he has an amazing outlook on life, and he is super amazing live!!! I went to his concert last November...and I'm still obsessed with the dude!

P.S. He also wears sweet hats! What's not to like about that?!?
P.S.S. He's be performing in Oklahoma the day Dylan repeorts to his mission! So...Dylan can convert him and tell him all about his amazing little sister!! haha...too bad Dylan's reporting to the MTC that day...not Oklahoma ;)

Well We have a Missionary!

Dear Elder Grigg:

You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 24 months.

You should report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, April 29, 2009. You will prepare to teach the gospel in the English language...........

Sincerely,
Thomas S. Monson
President

Last night was an exciting evening; Dylan had been snow-boarding and we had to look at the envelope all afternoon until he arrived, rallied the troops, had the cell phones on speaker and cameras ready to video. He was very happy to say the least. His first wish was to go English speaking and the second was to stay in the states. He usually gets what he really wants.

Dylan we love you and you will be an amazing missionary.
